Small size wardrobes readily available in the market may not be the best storage option for you in a limited space setting because of their lack of customization. It is always better to have customized wardrobes in any space setting whether big or small but smaller sized homes and rooms need it even more because of the limited real estate.
LUXUS’s made-to-measure sliding door wardrobes are the perfect solution for small bedrooms, hall wardrobes, narrow aisle spaces and even living rooms.

Access for narrow wardrobe space
In small spaces access to your wardrobe storage will be governed by the available opening once one door has been slid behind the other. For example if the overall width available is 600 mm then with a two door system the access area would be approximately 280mm wide. This is ideal to store your coats and shoes, however if you wish to store bulky items or include drawers then a one door wardrobe should be enough.

Opening and closing the doors on a narrow wardrobe
For tall and narrow doors, the user should grip lower on the door frame for opening and closing the door. The wheels at the bottom of the doors are set close together when compared to a normal width door. Thus gripping and pulling open the doors slightly lower helps to maintain the center of balance to ensure a smooth sliding motion.
Single door wardrobes
Depending on the space available immediately adjacent to the wardrobe it is possible to have a one door wardrobe that affixes to the front of the opening aperture, with the top and bottom tracks extending to one side or the other. The single door can thereby be slid to the left or right to allow access to the wardrobe space.
